    From the very beginning, Phoebe knew that Icarus would not just be hers to love. Her mate was too bright, too happy, too lovable to simply settle down with her for good. So, when he asked her about being polyamorous, the young Fae readily accepted. This was both her being generous in allowing her mate to be with whomever he wanted, but it was also an act of selfishness.
    At first she went and bred with one of the Guardians in the Clan, Westley, in hopes that her mate would become possessive of her, and call off their agreement. However, this did not happen, and Phoebe couldn't bring herself to be with anyone else but her mate.
    Though, that plan was soon shattered when a new mage entered the Clan. Young Mabli immediately took a shine to Phoebe, and she was powerless to his demands. In shame, Phoebe drove out the young hatchlings once they were old enough, and she closed herself off from everyone, including her mate.
    Eventually, a young Fae named Szeth entered the Clan, and they easily became close. He helped put her back together, and they are waiting for the right time to get together, since Phoebe still doesn't trust that she won't immediately drive out the hatchlings and then close herself off from him as well.
