Zosz

Personality: Zosz is perhaps the least talkative member of the Brewtongues, opting to speak only with Inari and the other mirrors, as they are the only other people he really trusts. He sees no point in throwing his opinion into the otherwise rowdy politics of the clan. The others generally find him distant and silently judgemental, yet consistently helpful when they call on him for aid.

History: Zosz was one who initially started clearing out space for a clan in the Crystalpine Reaches under summons by the Arcanist. Having no family and no pack to call his own, he figured that he would soon attract the attention of others of his kind. One day, after returning from a hunt, he discovered that a Fey had settled into his home and begun making stew out of his recently-caught meat. He confronted the dragoness, who cheerfully insisted that he try her cooking before running her off. To his surprise, he found it delicious... or at least, much better than the simple unseasoned meat he'd been preparing prior. Baffled, he conceded that the Fey could stay, and then set off again to resume his hunt.

Role In The Clan: Since meeting Oola and the small cadre of other dragons who would come to set up lairs with her due to her unique and tasteful cooking, Zosz has made a job out of fetching food ingredients and valuable magical materials for the clan. The members of the Brewtongue clan all know that if they ask Zosz for something directly, that he won't return until he's found it, and never inquires as to why they need whatever it is. Zosz also requires, on behalf of The Arcanist, that any dragons wishing to join the clan offer a tithe of magical crystal gathered from the nearby area as tribute to the deity that created him. At Inari's behest, Zosz occasionally lets the younger dragons observe the way he hunts and scavenges, though he's rather adamant that they "don't disturb (him) while (he) work(s)".


Inari and Rhuloc: Zosz and Inari are very good friends. He regularly seeks her council, inquiring about how the clan is doing, and and confides in her about his feelings and opinions. He recognizes that Inari is a much better leader than he ever could be, and thusly trusts her to keep everyone from tearing each other's eyes out while he goes and catches food. Their child, Rhuloc, is Zosz's only hunting companion, should he ever choose to take one, and has made a point of making sure that the young mirror becomes "A chip off the old crystal". He encourages his son to watch and learn from the others, and to always be willing to try new things, a trait that he himself sometimes struggles with.

Oola: Zosz eventually came to trust Oola, though it took a long time. Still, he doesn't ever really talk to her, but he's always willing to patiently lend an ear when she comes barreling towards him with a list of things she needs for her next great culinary experiment. He regards her as "A successful experiment in her own right" due to the nature of how they met, and admires her for teaching him a lesson about trying new things.

Santanan: Zosz is immensely distrustful of the charismatic skydancer. He is concerned that the "Smart-Alec-Pretty-Boy" is trying to oust him and Inari and usurp leadership of the clan. Santanan is the only member of the clan that Zosz has ever refused to get something for: a red flower. Neither party said anything of Zosz's failing to return with said item, but the silence was heard 'round the clan.
