ANUTA Weapons crafter Personality Anuta is the grandchild of the Fire clan, Wind, and now resides in Light. He has the Fire clan’s fighting spirit, the Wind clan’s quiet energy, and the Light clan’s passion for learning and studies. He is naturally energetic, physically charged and always in motion. When one looks at him, it’s as if he’s vibrating with all the energy coursing through him. Anuta channels this energy into fighting and weapons crafting. He trains new dragons in the coliseum in his spare time, but his main passion is in the forges of the Clan of the Midday Sun. He has his own small workshop in the caverns, where he fashions weapons for each breed present in the Clan. Origins Stories are passed between Circuits of those who could pass electricity over their skin. Of those who could manipulate the electric current with a touch, move it and transfer it at will. When Anuta was but a hatchling, he was caught out in a terrible storm, and huddled underneath a tall tree in the middle of the woods to wait it out. The tree was struck with a heavy, smoky bolt of lightning, and he was nearly killed. When he came to, there was an Imperial standing over him with huge purple wings and yellow eyes. The Imp spoke, a deep and thunderous voice, told him to get to his feet and follow. So he went. The Imp, named Araksanna, led him to the caves of the Clan of the Midday Sun, gave him food and water, and tended to him for two weeks. In that time, Anuta fell in love with the deep warmth in the caverns. He loved the smell of stinging metal and singed heat that pervaded the entire lair. And so he stayed. Akkarta taught him how to melt metals with his own breath, Alaska showed him how to bend metal, and he taught himself every type and style of weapon he could imagine. Craft Many of his weapons are imbued with electricity. After the strike, he was able to channel it more easily. In the Clan, there are many teachers who help new recruits learn to control the power of the Circuit. One of his favored weapons attaches along a Guardian’s forearm, and is tied to the claws. A targeted surge of power courses through his claws and triggers a projectile. Other weapons don’t require Circuitry, so that his mate Ahiga and other non-Circuits in the Clan can use them as well. Each of his personal weapons are self-designed and self-forged. He does teach other dragons, but allows them to have their own creative license. One of his protégées, Arhea, has been working to make a weapon that is self-imbued with Circuitry so any dragon could use it. |
