From a young age, Aether realized the most assured way to success was not to meet battles head on but to wait in the shadows; nothing to risk, everything to gain. This mindset served her well into adulthood where she continued to watch from the sidelines, gathering information to either to sell or use for herself. Neither the fervent minds of warlords nor the righteous vigilantes could draw her into the light. When it comes down to it, all causes are worth the same and none were worthy of her personal investment. |

Valor was only another customer, seeking vengeance or perhaps closure for some past misfortune; yet another impassioned creature in need of information. As many did before her, she wanted a name. This Aether could give, but the being attached to the name was one of mystery and myth, not fact. She had some sense of dignity and refused to give out false information; such could be interpreted as bias.
An impulsive decision to join Valor on her quest, nominally a way to retain her professional pride, opened the gates of personal hell. Here she lay, on the frontlines of a near stranger's personal battle, facing off against a dragon rumored to lay waste to enemies and friends alike. She could only pray that she was still detached, still among the shadows.
Deep down, she knew she had left that life behind.

>arc of catharsis re: Alexandria (chronologically just a bit before Xyre's arc), goes off alone to confront her alone after some cause (heard something about her?, finally decides she needs to close that chapter of her life), Valor and Xyre (reason?) (+others? Ace is a given probably) go after her, some kind of development between Valor and Xyre--- THIS IS WHERE THAT HEART TO HEART HAPPENS!!
