Ashera was born into royalty. She is the youngest daughter of the leader of a highly prestigious clan, riddled with wealth and prosperity. While she enjoyed her lavished life, she is also far to cunning and ambitious to settle. As the youngest sister, her chances of ruling the clan, let alone having any sort of influence, remained non existent.

Which would not do for someone like Ashera. She wanted that power, that control, and she would not wait around to be fodder or be married for clan alliances. However, she knew that unless she founded her own clan – which she had no desire to do – that marriage into an established clan was an option. And if she did not care for her mate, murder was not something she shied away from.

The plan was near perfect. Ashera had become the mate of a powerful leader and she was ready to rule with him as equals. But her mate did not want her advise or her opinion much to his own demise at Ashera's own hand. Had she gotten away with it, no doubt she would be a loved Queen, but she was caught and exiled.

With no where to go, and desperately on the run, Ashera found herself among the company of a pitifully small clan called Night Papillon. Pitiful, but welcoming. Anwyl cared little of what she had done and never asked from where she had come. His only interest in her was her mind for politics and her knowledge on successfully running a clan.

Ashera found it bittersweet but welcoming, and even shared a brief coupling with Anwyl before the clan grew and they parted. Now she serves as Anwyl's consultant and adviser while she is free to chose her own mate and make her own friends. But soon her thirst for power and her own clan became to much of an urge and she left to spread her wings once more and adventure out.

She traveled and found a large clan of dragons who seemed to be ruled by a mateless fae female. The clan was set up in a beautiful cove of emerald sands. The further she traveled into the cove the more she saw that females seemed to dominate the clan. A clan ruled by females not forced to find mates or even reproduce if they did not choose to. Slowly she traveled on and bumped into a young male fae named Tavin, another of fae of royal blood who had left his home.

Together the two seemed to forge an almost immediate bond. He did not tell her what to do and was very kind and open minded, most of the time focusing on making his nest and home as beautiful as possible. working on becoming a great sculpture creator. she enjoyed watching him from time to time and soon the two were noticed by the Matron of the Emerald Cove, who simply went by Mother. she took them both in and adopted them as her own and began training Ashera as her heir, something that Ashera welcomed in her power hungry mind. Tavin stayed at her side supporting her and keeping her company as she wished it, soon becoming her mate though the two rarely coupled.
