 MATE  HOARDING  TRINKET |
LORE Kholin's birth was extremely special, her coat was sleek and iridescent, shimmering like the rare gem that she knew herself to be. Her parents had been so surprised that unlike the many offspring they had sent to be with the Plaguebringer, they kept her to be raised as a member of the clan. She grew up with fierce training becoming one of their strongest and most powerful warriors. When she learned that due to clan tradition her brother Vannifor was first in line as her father's heir, she grew to resent him. Of course she was not so barbaric as to kill her own kin in order to take his place, but it never stopped her from thinking about it. As the years went by, Kholin grew independently from her family and clan, seeking to prove herself a better candidate for clan leader than her soft and naive brother. Her parents would look on sadly as the rift between she and her brother grew. She would always be the first to dive into battle, she was brash and confident, but she had never fallen in battle. Becoming captain of the clan's guard was only the first of her many achievements in combat. Many fearsome warriors had approached her to seek her approval as a mate, only to be turned away with a scoff. Some of her suitors were seen limping away from the clan, nursing bleeding wounds that could only have come from the guardian's sharp fangs. Now she still seeks to become the strongest in the clan and overtake Vannifor's position. The male sibling constantly tries to quell the animosity she has towards him, even going as far as to say that the two of them would rule better together than apart. Still, Kholin is determined not depend on anyone, and simply growls at him as she skulks away. written by Frootz |

GUARDIAN Guardians are immense, protective creatures. The guardian species originates from Fishspine Reef, though the nature of The Search sees individuals wandering far from the birthplace of their race.  Guardian Dragons are one of the largest known dragon species. They have fins along their face, limbs, and chest. These rigid fins are armored, and can be held stiff or collapsed like fans. The fins can be flared outward to help protect the hide of the creature, making Guardians one of the most durable dragons in physical combat. Males of the species boast impressive beards that they go to great lengths to maintain. |
