- - - Licorice is an arrogant but kind coatl, and the self-appointed leader of the Obsidian Keep after Xan and Eir's departure. Despite his suave and elegant facade, he is secretly very embarrassed by many things he says and does and has a tendency to lash out when someone points that out. His fiery personality often ends up getting him into trouble. Despite all of this, he is usually very pleasant and can be very silly at times. He is also the founder of the Council of the Elements, a small group of dragons each chosen by Licorice to represent one of the eleven flights, and represents the Fire flight within the group.
