The Teacher
Raine is a cynical dragon; her own allies and even Starless are not free of her distrust. She believes that a truely peaceful Sornieth is possible, but that it can only be achieved with some sacrifice and bloodshed today. In battle, Raine is a skilled healer who can support a full party of dragons in the Golem Workshop easily. She is very enthusiastic about the mysterious colliseum venues- between fights she studies the places with unrivaled glee, much to the confusion of her fellow party members. Though her skills in healing are great, Raine's real occupation is that of the Ashen Lexicon's teacher. She passes the knowledge from generations of wind dragons onto the new hatchlings of the clan. She's a strict teacher, but in the end she's effective in making sure generations of Plagueborn fighters are not ignorant about the world. When not spreading her knowledge to hatchlings or aiding fighters in battle, Raine will almost always be found curled up around her pearl reading a dusty tome.

This unicorn is not like a normal familiar. He doesn't seem to particularly care for Raine, he does not talk to her, and he certainly does not do favors for her. In fact, they hardly interact at all. He has followed Raine for most of her life, but he never lets her get too close. Seeing him is a painful reminder to Raine that she will never be pure enough to receive a unicorn's blessing.
