It was always good to be home, and Nintendo knew that better than most. Her claws clicked quietly against the floor of her lair, but in front of her, a screen glowed with life. She'd spent so long jury-rigging it, settling the scavenged coils and wires into place, chipping the crystals and gems into shape. It was well worth it in the end, though, when she could settle into a living lump in front of it and immerse herself in her games. Those had been scavenged too, watched over during the day by her faithful little beetle. The gentle melodies and blips pouring out of her speakers never failed to settle her and make her feel at home. She spent the night tapping away at her controller with her claws, cheering and laughing loud enough that she was sure the rest of the lair could hear her, but it didn't matter. She was in her zone.
