Biography
Valet and Confidant to the Queen of the Lost Kingdom
No one from the Updraft Knot Clan knows much about Guinganbresil or his friends Galadriel and Gulisa. They didn't appear until Jielith returned to the throne room. They coalesced into existence from the light streaming in through the ice in the Royal Gardens, scared poor Seoirse half to death. The three dragons of light and ice approached Jielith and said in unison, "We were created to serve the royal line of the Kingdom of Shimmering Glass. You are the current heir. How may we aid you?"
Jielith was obviously a little confused. She didn't remember the three serving her mother, but then she had left the Kingdom when she was very young and this was her first time back. She wasn't sure she wanted vassals but no matter how much she told them to go do what they wanted with their lives, they insisted their desires to serve her and help her re-establish the Kingdom of Shimmering Glass.
Eventually Jielith went to Eirke, who had been an advisor to her mother, the previous Queen, and was the only citizen of the Kingdom of Shimmering Glass left besides herself. He explained that The Three are artificial constructs made from magic and the souls of long dead court members. They had been created by a somewhat paranoid former King who did not believe he could trust his mortal servants. The Three might each have their own personalities and interests, but they acted as one and were unified by their desire to help the royal line.
After learning about their origin she talked more with each of the three individually to get to know them, since they were always nearby. Guinganbresil had been made from the souls of a royal guard, a scholar, and a personal valet. While he didn't have the distinct memories from the individuals that made him, he was an amalgamate of their personalities. He is watchful and wary, but also quite learned and mild mannered. He felt his duties included preparing the monarch for ceremonies, listening to their troubles and advising them in matters requiring a knowledgeable and rational mind, and watching over their well-being and warning them of danger.
Jielith decided she would count herself lucky to have such a stalwart friend. She told Guinganbresil that she didn't want him calling himself a servant anymore. If she ever reestablished the Kingdom of Shimmering Glass she wanted it to be a place were no dragon was subservient to any other. Guinganbresil bowed and agreed, he wouldn't not call himself a servant, but he was still bonded to her, and could not be anything but what he was. Jielith accepted that and told him that he could be a friend and paid valet if he wished. He insisted that he had no use for money or worldly things, since The Three do not eat, sleep, or have any other needs. She said then she would pay in him pearls to decorate himself, since he saw a ring on his finger that he obviously treated with much care.
The ring had been a gift to him from a grateful princess, the only gift he's received since he was created. He was very moved by Jielith's offer, and agreed that he would accept the jewelry as payment for his service.
