Dusk
Shadow Diplomat

Dusk was born as an Ambassador. He spent his youth with the knowledge he would grow up and leave the Tangled Wood, be the best he could be and prove those born under Shadowbinder's rule were not just playful tricksters.

The problem was that he himself was quite the trickster, teasing his family and other clanmates, rolling around and hiding in the bramble. He could always be counted on to be found quickly if he rolled over, due to his glistening mauve stomach.

His family let him play and dive, since he was easy to find. "It is fine to play and trick," the leader said. "However, be more than that, young Duskling."

Still, the day came, and he was sent to the Windswept Plateau with his trusted familiar. While he was still lithe even as a young adult, the bamboo forests didn't hide him nearly as well as the brambles had. He no longer had the right colors to blend in.

He ended up staying with a clan full of several dragons, among which were two fae who fashioned themselves the leaders. It was odd to him such small dragons could lead, yet they herded the others well, especially with the help of a White Guardian with a pink stomach and a Black Coatl with bright wings.

All four of those fashioned leaders were good with each other, and they earned Dusk's respect. He ended up meeting another Coatl of similar coloring, only she had a sparkling pink stomach, similar to the guardians. She loved his tricks and games, and they hummed together in a way the others enjoyed. It was a surprise to him that they even hatched on the same day, her at the daybreak her name implied, and him at dusk.
