Silvershard

It wasn't long until I found an Arcane clan living between the Crystalspine Reaches and the Starwood Strand willing to take me in. They call themselves Clan Tala, and they seem kind enough. They were attacked by an Emperor and many of them are still recovering. I helped them where I could, and in exchange, their resident jeweler made me an enchanted pendant. I also met another wanderer like me in this lair, a motherly type who came just in time to help raise the latest nests.

There have been rumors that they will be moving, that there is too much heartbreak and too many memories here for them to stay. I will not be joining them. I enjoyed my time here, but I feel it's time for me to move on. Farewell, Clan Tala, and may the light shine bright upon you.

The next clan I chose to stay with was Clan Zendikar, located in an underground cave in the Gladeveins. It was a mismatched clan, full of many dragons who came and went in the time I spent there. It was there that I met my familiar, a glowing pocketmouse who I named Lumos. After a time, I too chose to leave and seek adventure elsewhere.

Lumos and I have arrived at a small clan in the Reedclift Ascent. They call themselves the Clan of Painted Winds, and seem fairly friendly. I am the only Ridgeback here, but my size is not an issue. My time spent here was relaxing and peaceful, but I am quickly growing restless. I will leave tomorrow morning. The clan leaders have offered me a gift to remember their clan by, but I politely declined. The memories of this place will be enough.

I don't know where to start with this one... she is wonderful. In fact, I think she's the one - you know, the kinda gal you'll make a family with. Get stable with. I've never experienced anything like it!

She proposed. I said yes. We're due to get married in the name of the Lightweaver once our nest has hatched, rumor has it the entire clan is migrating from Earth to the Sunbeam Ruins. I want to live there with her forever and ever - by the gods, I am so lucky! So lucky and so thankful.

Thinking of letting Lumos travel on without me, that selfish little rat doesn't seem happy for me. In fact, I think he's jealous - with a lack for better words, acts like a complete jerk towards my bride to be. Poor Angelsky really tries to connect with him, but Lumos, he's... he's impossible! We'll see how that goes. Gotta have an honest talk with him, not looking forwards to that.

I should have listened to Lumos. Angelsky, she... she's a monster. After our nest hatched, something happened to her, as if she... she couldn't keep a stable form. That's when she told me. She is - was - a parasite.

This was supposed to be the happiest time of my life. I begged her to stay, told her I'd accept her and love her for what she was, even if she wasn't even a dragon. She didn't care. Did she ever care...?

All this talk about how wonderful it would be once we'd left Earth to go live in Light. Where they all lies? Now I'm here alone, with three hatchlings who need me - the gods only know if they are infected too, with her disease. I need to find a cure to this, I need to find the truth behind what happened!

Silvershard returned home exhausted and somewhat relieved. He wandered around the clan, greeting old friends and new faces. He was sad to see many of his old friends and family had gone elsewhere, but elated to see his old friend Hyacinth. After a while, Silvershard began to feel a nagging feeling of wanting to move on, so he did. No one knows if he'll ever return to his former clan, or maybe he'll find a more suitable home…

Silvershard ventured out into new lands, having stayed home for far too long. He traveled across the land, visiting arid desserts and lightning scorched peaks until his journey wound to a close near the waters' edge. Beneath the waves a bright orange muzzle greeting him in welcome and before he could even blink, SilverShard found himself settling in with the Jale Clan.
"The clan itself is small, in the process of recovering from previous events unbeknownst to me. A lot of new faces are popping up and it's hard to keep track of them all. I've grown acquainted with Jale and his mate.... Who seems to have an odd fascination with birds.... And a kind fellow known as Lawrence. He's kind enough, but I feel the big fellow is a clinger and has taken to following me around everywhere."

The next clan that welcomed me belonged to a gentle dragon named SharaChar, a fearless leader whose only conviction was kindness. She carried an air of nobility with none of the usual accompanying stuffiness. Despite her strength, a newcomer sought to lead her own clan on these same grounds, a scheme that was not revealed to me until I had already played my part. A new generation of warriors, made in my own image, that of a shimmering sword. Though I had no intentions of aiding a rebellion, I cannot abandon my children until they are grown two girls in my own image and boy in his mother's. Perhaps in the meantime I may negotiate a more peaceful resolution...
