Chaos likes sleeping. Actually, he loves sleeping. If sleeping were in some way incorporated as an actual means to make treasure, he would have signed up for that job. As it was, he was stuck as a hired bodyguard for traveling merchants. All because he looked like he could kill someone with a glance. Which he never would! Chaos could never intentionally harm another. He didn't even like his job. It was a means for food and, regrettably, he was a decent fighter. Chaos couldn't let the skills he had go to waste. Even if it was done under the mantle of protection, Chaos couldn't stand it. It made his stomach turn. |
He couldn't, in his good conscious, devote his being as an hired sword. Not anymore. Not after his last job. He wanted something easy. Something that could make others smile.
And let him sleep for more than a few hours.
Chaos sighed with all the wariness of an elder dragon despite being quite young. He ventured away from the board posting different job offers to let some of the Mirrors take a better look. Finding a nice shady spot a distant away from the marketplace, Chaos settled himself on the ground with a huff.
He looked through his sack, counting his treasure to make sure he had enough to last him a few weeks. Chaos was good at saving anything that shined. If it weren't the currency, he would definitely hoard all he can."I'm okay for now," he said, speaking to himself. "If worse comes to worse, I can look for a lighter job. But I'm going to keep traveling."
He made to stand but a yawn trickled out of him. It was too much of a bother to get up and find an inn. He looked around, noticing he was secluded enough within the forest, a ways away from the main road.
"A quick nap first." Chaos said with a pleased smile.
