Biography
Laurel
|
Traveling with her mate, Lilac, was a bit nerve-wrecking at first. Her homeclan, Jewelvine, had given them a warm farewell and she would deny it to the Gods and back that those were tears in her eyes when she hugged her friends. It was a warm farewell and she promised she would keep in touch but the decision to leave their homeclan was one Laurel and Lilac both agreed on. Laurel wanted to see more of Sornieth, the thirst for travel has coursed through her bones since she was a hatchling, and Lilac went along to make sure she was safe. Not that Laurel couldn't defend herself, nor did she need Lilac to protect her. Laurel could defend herself well enough. What she couldn't defend against was her sense of direction. And Lilac may be a tad protective (he would deny that claim if asked). The bottom line was wherever Laurel went, Lilac was right by her side and vice versa. And moving on felt like the next step in their lives together. It was nerve wracking, but it was fun. With Lilac, her love and protector of wrong directions, she knew where ever they would end up at, that would be home. |
Joining Clan Aruna
It was the ocean that won her heart. Or the trees. Or the unobstructed view of the sky, which was a rare sight the further you went into the jungle. She didn't know what, and Laurel didn't care, but she wanted to live with this clan they were visiting. The clan was near a cliff that over looked the ocean, the waves crashing against the base of the cliff meters below the top. The clan itself rested along the base of the gentle hill, an expanse of unbroken flat land nestled between the jungles that absorbed the sun and the cliff with its beautiful view. It was a small clan with a ton of young dragonlings. "There's so many of them." Laurel said to Lilac as they walked past a Guardian who was walking with an emerald-tinted Tundra. "That's thanks to our clan leader, Mint." The Guardian said with a grin as she looked down at the Tundra. "He hoards hatchlings." "I do.. I do not," He looked to the Guardian and back to Laurel then back to the Guardian with an exasperated expression. It took everything in Laurel not to laugh. "I don't hoard hatchlings. Please ignore Dawn, she likes to tease, a lot," he said with a huff. Dawn grinned, pleased with herself. Mint aimed a glare at her before he turned towards Laurel. "I'm Mint, leader of Clan Aruna. Most of the hatchlings here are adopted or have been taken under my care. Not hoarded," Dawn didn't even bother hiding her laugh. "Please let me or Dawn know if you have questions." He said and bowed his head. Laurel watched the two of them leave, Mint huffily glaring at Dawn who was still smiling and laughing. They smelled like close friends and she could tell that beside the teasing, there really was no bite to their words. Laurel turned to Lilac, mind made up. "We found home." |
