Eclipse is the chosen female heir to Caryn's Night Warrior legacy. While Caryn is now mated with Pynk but they only mated after the Ridgeback had a few trysts with other dragons in the clan. After mating with Pynk, Caryn settled to let Pynk help her raise Eclipse in the ways of the Night Warriors. Eclipse was born with a strong sense of purpose. When Sirocco visited from the Suncircle Clan, she was immediately enthralled with the prowess of the spiral, and while she had not yet begun her training, Sirocco often talked with her after late night Coliseum runs with Pynk and Caryn. Sirocco and she settled for having one next together, and it was in this nest that Eclipse's male heir, Nightvale came to be. Eclipse has always been fond of bright and beautiful things, specifically her pearl, which, like all Pearlcatchers, she guards with her life. She even went to far as to befriend a familiar that could hold it for her if push came to shove and she had to abandon it-though it would still nearly destroy her if she did. 
Eclipse hopes one day to find a permanent mate that will support her and her Night Warrior ways. The life involves relentless dedication and unerring time consumption. When not off training, Eclipse enjoys playing with the bees in the beehives that sit nearby to the lair. The buzz of Perdita bees calms her when training gets to be too much. She plans on training up Nightvale when she herself has completed her Night Warrior certification, so that he may carry on her legacy into the next generation.

Eclipse as a hatchling spent all of her days rolling her pearl across the ground and then trying to climb on top of it and then stay on top of it. After three months of content trying, she did it, though she still has to severely repair the pearl more often than not, which she does in private to save the eyes of her fellow dragons since the process is a little... messy. As a hatchling, she was admired for her beauty and innate prowess, though as she grew older, the shell of "just a pretty thing" was shed when she accepted her calling as a Night Warrior. Her pearl is a useful method of surprising locomotion in battle, used to inspire a sense of "what the **** is that dragon doing?!" which she then uses as an opening to deal a single, final blow. |
