SEAGHDHA
ANCIENT NOBLE // MEDIATOR
____________________________

desc. as "possibly meaning "admirable" or "hawk-like" in Gaelic.

+ Has a regal bearing
+ Can be quite calculating
+ Speaks with a thick accent
+ Completely devoted to his cause

Graceful and regal, Sen is the unspoken king of the city, despite his distaste for the title. He was once the ruler of a distant land that was frequently in the path of warring tribes, though it was clear that he was a fair ruler. His strategies to defend his homeland were sound, his tactics swift, and his manner quiet but clear.

However, as time went on, it became clear that there would be no end to the war, nor any respite from the touches of other civilizations encroaching on the horizon. The day eventually came that their forces were overcome and an ultimatum delivered. Forfeit his rule, or every one of those under his protection would be slaughtered.

With no other options, Sen had no choice but to allow himself to be driven from his throne and to the breaches of his territory. He did not expect to settle, not after the grief and guilt that followed him from his old life as Sen. He had lost everything that had meant something to him, and his heart was so deep in his grief that he wasted away as he wandered, his eyes seeing but not truly present. Haunted, he was called by those he encountered, few as they were.

It was one such creature he encountered- Hajari, a healer who had been wandering the windy plains in hopes of better fortunes, who decided to stay with him. Despite his youth, he was familiar with such mind-damage, and he carefully coaxed his companion's tale from him.

As time passed, and the pair wandered, Hajari came to eventually call his companion by a new name, a word from his home-tongue; Seaghdha- for his tenacity and strong will to continue walking forward despite his past. And as the word settled about his shoulders, Seaghdha, as he would be called, looked upon the world with a new gaze.

The pair continued their wanderings, renewed with vigor and enthusiasm to explore the winds and the structures that were built so high in the sky they appeared as specks of color, to the light-graced ruins to the north. During their adventures, Seaghdha began courting Hajari, and by the time they reached the underground city they now reside in, they had bonded so strongly by their magyks that to part them would likely destroy them both.

_____

After the plague that drove the clan from their home in the Tidelord's domain, many pushed for Seaghdha to lead them to safety. However, the ancient drake denied the responsibility, remembering clearly his past life as Sen and the kingdom he lost due to his incapability to protect them.
