Renna

Every so often, the queen of the Lost Isles vanishes, only to return with hatchlings. The denizens of the isles always rejoice the newborns, considering them to have been created asexually, since anything is possible of a goddess, and the hatchlings are always the spitting image of their mother. Everyone remains none the wiser to the true nature of this process and the god that is the hatchlings' father...

Given Venya's gentle nature and powerful magic, a lot was expected from the goddess' offspring. While most lived up to the expectations set up for themselves, Renna always had some trouble. She never grasped the concept of magic and spell casting and couldn't create anything beyond a few harmless sparks. Renna's true forte was her natural strength, but, even under the rigorous training set upon her by the islands most skilled warriors, the clutzy demi-goddess' abilities could never be put to good use. Renna often underestimated her own strength, and what she considered a gentle touch could often result in the downing of trees or boulders. As such, strict rules were soon implemented on her, and she was rarely allowed to leave the island summit where her mother resided in order to keep damage to a minimum. Life was extremely boring, but, since she did not seek to harm anyone or anything, Renna realized that it was for the best for whenever she did venture out against the rule, more homes or land ended up damaged. She spent her days coiled up and moving as little as possible for, even when she stretched, she learned, something could go wrong. She watched her siblings develop their strengths and abilities and blossom into adulthood, all while she was just stuck being in the way. However, when the day came that Carinth sought to destroy life on the isles, Renna refused to sit back, and it was with her sheer strength that she managed to tackle and capture her rampaging sister. Finally deemed a hero and someone welcome on the isles, Renna still decided it best she leave, hoping that the larger land of Sornieth would have somewhere her strength would not be so debilitating to the landscape and therefore someplace to really call home.
