Quidlin

Quidlin never intended to be a family fae. He was brought into the clan at an early age, and found himself happy with lots of different playmates. He quickly made friends with several dragons, including a beautiful guardian, with whom he would become close. Together, he and the guardian, Rivalen, clutched a nest of three, and for a while, they were happy.

But then the urges began. Rivalen and their daughter, Platinum, became restless. The call of the Search was becoming stronger - something neither guardian had felt before. Platinum announced that she had found her Charge... and she went to serve the Arcanist. Quidlin was devestated, but he understood the call of the Search.

Rivalen didn't tell him, but she was also beginning to fear that her Charge was the same. The urge to serve the Arcanist became stronger. She clutched with several different males to try and offset this, desperate to stay with Quidlin, but it became too strong. She bid goodbye to Quidlin and their remaining daughters, Rune and Myrfan, and turned to leave... And Myrfan went with her, unwilling to lose her mother.

Quidlin tried to remain strong for his remaining daughter, and was determined not to be an overbearing father, but the ever growing fear remained that Rune would feel the same call. However, these fears were to be allayed. Rune approached him one day and confessed she had felt her Search calling her... and had found her Charge instantly. Her Charge was Quidlin, and the whole of Clan Kaitos. Rune vowed to stay and defend this clan forever, and to never leave her father.

In recent times, Quidlin has shown an interest in helping with the parents on their nests. He is a much loved family fae, who treats his daughter and grandchildren as precious treasures. The fear still remains that he will lose them, but he quells it and is well known for his high spirits, especially now in these dark times.
