Biography
Indra
(Inn-drah) (no nickname)
Most fitting song: Origa & Yoko Kanno - Inner Universe
Origin: A bamboo forest near the Reedcleft Ascent.
Position: Companion to the Leader: Indra hardly knows where she belongs, but if it's anywhere, it's by Leonidas's side. She acts as a quiet mediator to the kith, and confidant and companion to it's leader. She's glad she has that much.
Relationships
Parents: (None): Abandoned before her hatching, Indra never knew her parents, and has had no luck seeking them out. As of now, they remain a mystery.
Siblings:
(None): If Indra has siblings, she doesn't know of them. Though considering the manner in which she was parted from her parents, the possibility is unlikely.
Mate:(None): Indra has grown very close to Leo very quickly, but is not on the relationship parallel. It's unlikely the two will ever be a couple, if expectations keep seeing them as the two founders of a clan, and not as two very close and very lost souls.
Offspring:(None): Without knowing where she came from, Indra would be hesitant to start a new chapter in her family line. And if she did, that's only if she could find the right dragon to have a family with...
Friends:
(All): As skittish as this Guardian is, you'd think she wouldn't do well around other dragons. But the truth is, Indra couldn't imagine what she'd do without her friends, and now family. With no relatives to care for, Indra fell easily into cherishing the only dragons by her side, and relying on their company to keep her going through a life with little other direction.
(The Kith): Indra yearns to be with her new family equally. Every dragon has a unique spot in her heart, but she would never place one above the other. Except for Leo, Vancerred, and Edmund. Together, Indra considers the four of them to have been the original family of lost souls, and never stops thinking fondly of the very short summer they lived together.
Familiar: (Brilliant Psywurm): A phosphorescent buddy to keep her relaxed and give her something to care for.
Story
And a Journey Begins, When Two Opposite Worlds Meet...
Found abandoned as an egg, floating in the ocean, Indra was picked up and adopted by a clan of Mirrors, who begrudgingly raised her as their own, merely to bide the guilt of leaving her to predators. Despite this, they knew she would not fit in, and time proved them right.
Their strident attitude against her hulking size, squared shape, and protective behavior (starkly contrasting to theirs) gave her a childhood with few joys. Timid, quiet, and subservient, she did what she could to please her foster family, while desperately seeking a way to become one of them.
She'd heard of Breed Change scrolls, but before she had any sliver of a chance of obtaining one, at long last, she returned home from foraging to find her clan aggressively waiting for her. She was attacked, exiled from the clan, and forced to flee for her life.
Heart broken, and oblivious to the strength she actually had at her disposal, she wandered the wilderness, homeless, directionless, hopeless, and terrified of every tiny beast that dared show enough moxie to confront her.
Barely knowing it at the time, she was searching for the ocean from whence she came. Though no parents would await her, for if she'd ever had any, they abandoned her long ago, somehow the sea seemed like the only thing that would accept her, as it once did before. In her mind, it was the only family she had. And if she had no home or life, she'd return to it, and start over somehow.
Breaking from the treeline, she was met with cliffs that told the end of the land and the start of the ocean. And there on the very edge of the rocks sat a Tundra, expression vacant, fur flowing in a whisper of a tousling wind, and staring off into the gold-tinted sky as the sun was rising.
Putting aside, for a moment, her own personal concerns, and worrying instead that this dragon would throw himself over the edge, she tried to approach. And she stopped right in her tracks when he spoke to her.
"It told me to find it," were his first words to her, "A thing that I know not what it is, but is the meaning of my life..." She timidly asked who said these things, and with a radiant smile, he laid eyes on her and answered, "The Wind told me." She'd remember him by those words forever.
Then with the Wind behind him, he turned to her in full, and without hesitation, told her she was beautiful, and asked her what her name was. Both sentences brought tears to her eyes, as she'd never been viewed as anything more than a waste of space before...enough so that she'd never been named.
But despite her towering size, the Tundra went to her, dried her tears, and named her without a second thought. The second thing he asked of her decided their fate.
"Indra...Indra, will you help me search for this thing? Will you go through my life's journey with me?"
Taken by his directness, and unable to say she had a life of her own, she felt just as saved as the Tundra did. His name: Leonidas. Their clan was then formed, and their search began.
Technical Specs
Battle Prowess: Cautious::Striking::Catastrophic: // Physical Tank
Valued Possessions: Indra had few possessions, if any, with her adoptive family, and has very few now. But one item means the world to her: her Sunrise Hibiscus. Leo wanted to buy it for her at the Marketplace, when they were browsing for Battlestones, but she said it wasn't in their budget. He surprised her by later seeking it out at auction and buying it anyways.
Habits: Even after her removal from her previous clan, Indra still timidly underestimates her own size, and can try to fit in places too small for her. This can lead to her squashing things (or dragons), and sometimes getting stuck. This proves useful for squashing enemies in the Coliseum.
Likewise, Indra lacks several habits that might be expected of her. When asked what she thinks her Charge is, she shyly responds that she doesn't believe she has one. With her entire life spent trying desperately to fit in with Mirrors, much of her Guardian traits were left behind. Looking after Leo seems to be a substitute Charge.
Breed/Color Changes: Previously all basic. Need Contour, Lace, and or a new tertiary gene that looks good on her.
