Betta Warrior Kind | Protective | Wise Betta started out in the Clan as a simple Blacksmith, but he had always wanted to do more than just provide armour and weapons to the Clan. He forged himself some Iron Armour and started to watch the Fighters as they trained and socialized, replicating and adapting their moves to better suit his build. Soon, Betta took his knowledge to the Coliseum and rose in ranks until he reached the esteemed Level 25. His Iron Armour had become dented and his body scarred, but he still wears it all proudly. Today he takes on Trainees of all ages and Flights, regardless of breed or what others would consider a "disability", and helps them through tough battles as they grow and learn the ways of the battlefield. Eventually, though, his Trainees either leave for other Clans or to serve their Deities, however some still remain in the battlefield as either Fighters for the Clan or reminders as to why fighting should never be taken lightly... When Betta first set out through the Scorched Forest, he did not plan on coming across a creature in need (and not fight them). As fate would have it, an Extinguished Jackalope lay in the ashes of an old tree. Having lost its fuel to maintain its fiery defence, the vulnerable creature had been hunted by the predators of the area until it had taken refudge and collapsed inside the burned-out tree. Taking pity on the Jackalope, Betta picked up the exhausted creature and carried it back to the Clan; fending off bold and foolish predators that tried to snatch it from his jaws. Once it had rested and come to realize that it was in fact NOT in danger of being eaten by the large Guardian, the Extinguished Jackalope started to follow Betta everwhere. Whether this was for protection or companionship nobody can say for certain, but they can state that the realtionship had evolved into a kindred spirits sort of bond. While it is not a physical or magically-inclined fighter, the Jackalope has assisted in someways on both the battlefield and within the Clan. During fights this Familiar can be seen sprinting towards foes and headbutting them in weaker points, or kicking them in the jaws, or even rearing up to scratch at them. However, if it is not fighting it will assist the Herbalist in gathering herbs and the Chef with spices; using its accute sense of smell to root out the best plants to use. When the Clan settles down to sleep, one can find this Familiar snuggling into the crook of Betta's arms, a content sigh escaping from its chest. |
