Biography
By: Joyday05 (and a bit of editing by me)
Gearguts trudged along the wet dirt path, all his precious metal trinkets and machines weighing him down. Sleet-like rain hit hard against his brown scales. His high-tech reading goggles clouded. In the distance, he spotted an old rotting house he could possibly stay at. It didn't seem that far. His mini dragon skull necklace bounced along as he walked. He readjusted his goggles in the pouring rain.
He almost forgot he had a friend with him...
A shock went down his spine, making Gearguts fall face first into the mud. A laugh verging on maniacal erupted behind him.
"N-nice one Cogwind..." He spit out some mud. He looked back to his buddy.
Cogwind was a nice and brilliant dragon, really, but he was kinda...strange in the noggin. Like one wire was loosely connected in an all too impressive machine. It would still work, but slightly off. Cogwind's body seemed to be made of branches. His body twisted around like a snake, and he wore so many trinkets that it covered up his entire middle section. He wore a red and white mask and his eyes were large and intelligent like an owl's. But he kinda radiated a mad scientist vibe that told most dragons away. He was extremely clever, in a prankster sort of way.
Cogwind took a huge gulp of coffee he was holding before continuing to softly chuckle.
Gearguts smiled. "Listen, Cogwind, the rain's ruining your coffee and my machines. I've found a place we could go, ya hear?" Cogwind nodded, then refilled his coffee. Where did he get all that coffee?
And so they continued on. Cogwind offered Gearguts a mechanical AI umbrella at one point, but he politely declined. The rain had stopped and a thin mist hung in the air.
"Where is that old house? Hey Cogwind, do you see it anywhere?" Gearguts wondered. He was answered with a large slurp from Cogwind, again, drinking his coffee. It now had whipped cream on it.
"Yeah man," replied Cogwind. "To the left, walk another half-mile, turn right at the river." Gearguts gaped.
"That would've been helpful a few hours ago..."
"You could've just told me where we were going, I used to hang out there all the time!" Exclaimed Cogwind. Gearguts grinned.
"Now let's go before one of us catches a cold. I am not paying for you to see the doctor again. Attica and Seafoam's competitive rates are ridiculous right now.." Mummered Cogwind.
