Inwythyn

Inwythyn is no Coatl, but he is pure white and he is an ill omen. He bears the touch of his goddess in his blood and in his body, and his hide is constantly tearing and reforming. The snowy hue of his skin is often stained with his own blood, and the blood of others. His touch brings pestilence, the kiss of his breath brings boils and disease. He has selected two mates from Clan Iochsi's ranks: Simon, a Mirror with a taste for studying the plague, and Uther, a Tundra who works dark magics so ancient they may only be found inscribed in crumbling stone tablets buried with the queens of old. The three live together near the outskirts of Clan Iochsi's vast lair, in a burrow dug deep under the shifting sands of the Expanse and biting into the bedrock below. Only the bravest venture in person to the mouth of their tunnel, which reeks of rotting meat and creatures long dead, to ply Simon for help with their illnesses. The others take their requests to River, Simon's sister. Chi Fu keeps the hatchlings well away from Inwythyn's little polycule; the trio spell bad news for everyone.

There are whispers that Inwythyn is Shade-touched, that the madness and vicious plague he carries within his flesh, that his hungry red eyes rest on the the role of leadership, that his lust for power is as contagious as his breath. Crypt sets no stock in such nonsense, but she keeps a careful eye on him nonetheless.

Who brought Inwythyn into the clan? Chi Fu cannot for the life of him remember who left the hours-old hatchling at his doorstep. No one has stepped forward to claim responsibility for the Plagueling.

For now, we keep a careful watch on him and his ilk. Few of us trust him.
