Feniks

Feniks is a regal skydancer, now leader of the Autumn Winds tribe. As a young hatchling, Feniks grew up in the light territory. At an early age though, she started hearing a small voice, barely a whisper, riding on the wind. No dragons in her tribe knew of voices carried of the wind, they filled their time playing tricks with the light to create mirages. When the faint whisper persisted for many days, Feniks knew that she must act upon it to find out what it was. The obvious choice was to fly to the wind domain and ask a wind dragon. When Feniks arrived however, the steppes were silent and empty. Not to be turned away without seeing a single dragon, Feniks continued to climb the reedcliff ascent. Through her determination, she reached the top, right next to the twisting crescendo. Here was where Feniks met the large imperial Magic. She was quickly guided through the reed patches to a thickly woven den. Inside were two dragons, Okam and Helios. Without a word Okam gestured to Helios and stepped out of the den. Feniks, though knowing nothing of these dragons, followed Okam to the side of the twisting crescendo and into the vortex. Here, surrounded by the roaring winds, Feniks could finally hear the whispers clearly. Since that day, she was chosen to lead the Autumn Winds tribe. With the help of Magic and Helios, she has secured a long future to come.

The winds in the vortex were whispering new arrivals to Feniks. She glanced at Okam who was sitting beside her. Though there were constantly dragon entering and leaving the nursery, none of the eggs were ready to hatch that day. And yet the winds whispered ever more intensely. The wind ruffled through Okam's wolf shroud and Okam glanced back towards the camp. "Go." she whispered plainly and Feniks, though main leader of the tribe, left the small island in the middle of the vortex. Feniks wings beat hard against the powerful winds as she arrived at the edge of camp. Many dragons rushed to meet her. She had been in the vortex for days, yet fully she felt fully filled with the knowlage of the winds. She glanced around for the lead knight Magic, who shouldered his way through the crowd to meet her. "Ready a patrol, we must check the entire territory." Feniks stated plainly, but gave no explanation as to why. The scales of Magic's shoulders rose slightly as her bristled. He called a few Amaroq and Oscuri and then they were off. Feniks scanned the slopes hopefully as the flew around the edges of there territory. They had patrolled the entire outskirts when Feniks heard a small, rolling sound towards the edge of a cliff next to the vortex. Her head shot around to glimpse the small wind egg rolling to the very edge of the cliff, and with a small bounce, it hopped over the side. With a loud roar of shock, Feniks rushed off the edge of the cliff and dived after the egg. Magic roared and leaped over the edge to follow her down. Feniks easily plummeted after the egg, her wings dragging her along. Magic's roars were whisked away by the wind until they were just another whisper towards the edges of her mind. Feniks reached forward with her talons and grasped the egg in her claws. She flared her wings and let out a shriek of pain as they caught the wind at a bad angle and were twisted till they almost snapped. She tucked in her wings and continued to fall, still clutching the bouncing egg in her talons. She gasped as she felt talons meet her shoulders and looked up to see Magic battling against the wind. Feniks let out a sigh when they reached the outskirts of the camp and Magic let her down. Feniks took a step and felt her body fall to the ground, still clutching the bouncing egg. Helios appeared quickly and padded through the crowd that now surrounded Feniks. Helios gasped as she saw the state of Feniks' wings. Though not broken, Feniks would be grounded for at least two moons. All of the dragon's attentions shifted as a crack came from the egg. The crowd gasped as the orange head of a baby tundra broke through the shell. Feniks' eyes were drawn to the small hatchling and sighed softly. "Oh my child..." she whispered. From that day forth, Vagi became Feniks adopted child.
