Chan Tui is the clan's minstrel and music therapist; no mean feat for a naturally tone-deaf Fae. From his own struggles learning to express himself through music, Chan Tui learned of its deep therapeutic value. He often composes songs with Qu Chi, the poet. Although quite skilled on the lute, Chan Tui accepts that he will never be a singer.

Chan Tui, Cicadae Periostracum, is an herb in the Cool, Acrid, Release the Exterior category. It is Sweet, Salty, and slightly Cold, and it enters the Lung and Liver channels. It disperses Wind-Heat, vents rashes to the surface, brightens the eyes and removes surface visual obstructions, and relieves spasms and extinguishes Liver Wind.
