• Trick-or-Treating Wishlist •

As mentioned in my thread post, I'm genuinely happy with anything you have to offer. I like the spirit of the event more than what haul I can get from it :3 But as a rule of thumb, general things that make me happy are: food, art, familiars I don't have and Baldwin materials.

GODSPEAKER & WIND CHOSEN

Mirrin was one of the founding member's of Wayfarer's Rest, but for the longest time he was considered little more than a footnote in it's history, only to make an unexpected return to prominence.

Before Cobalt and Spitz joined her, Karuka met and traveled with Mirrin, a fae, shortly after setting out upon her quest to find her Charge. During their travels, they hatched a nest together, which included the first of Karuka's seafoam bloodline, Karin and Minty.

However, Mirrin was very dedicated to the Windsinger, and shortly after Karuka decided to found a clan with the small handful of dragons that had joined them, he decided to leave and dedicate himself entirely to his service.

Nothing was thought more of Mirrin until one day, well long after Wayfarer's Rest had established itself as a prosperous and expansive clan, a strange Skydancer approached the edge of it's territory. As travelers came and go frequently, nothing was thought much of his appearance, except for a few elders who felt he both appeared and smelled very familiar.

It was Karuka who recognized him for who he was the moment she lay eyes on him: the long forgotten father of her first hatchlings. Instantly the clan was abuzz with surprise and wonder as not only had he returned from the Windsinger's service (an utterly unheard of event!), but he appeared to have been shapechanged into one of the Windsinger's children from his original form.

Unsurprisingly, the more religious members of the clan clamored for him to become the new Godspeaker, for who could interpret the whims of the deities better than a dragon who had actually served the guardian of their Flight directly, rather than an outsider who had no ties to Wind besides his residence initially. While Mirrin didn't intentionally oust Aland, the previous Godspeaker, his presense no doubt was a major contributor to why the other Skydancer chose to leave.

The fact that he has very clearly and blatantly been blessed by the Windsinger is also the only reason Karuka does not dare chase him back out of the clan, despite being a seafoam dragon not of her bloodline.

Jufeng arrived at the same time that Mirrin returned to the clan, having traveled with the Skydancer as he returned from his duties with the Windsinger. He acts as a curriour for the Skydancer, though no one seems to know what the contents of the messages are or where he's delivering them too.

S O N • K A R I N
Mirrin's relationship with his son is strained, to say the least. Mirrin does not see his leaving the clan as abandonment, but understands if his children see it that way (in actuality they don't) and wants to do well by them. Unfortunately Karin's status as Karuka's immediate heir makes this difficult, as she clearly does not approve.

D A U G H T E R • M I N T Y
As Karuka is not as involved in their daughter's life as their son's, Mirrin has been able to reconnect with Minty a lot easier than Karin. Or as well as he can reconnect given Minty's rather odd personality. He has come home sometimes at nights though to find that she has left little trinkets in his lair, which indicates some sort of respect for him.

While not close, Mirrin does marvel at the outfits that his grandson, Froth, designs. When Aland left the clan and it became apparent that Mirrin was going to have to step into his place, he commissioned Froth to design an official outfit for him to wear during ceremonies.

Eia may not be the only dragon in the clan interested in Mirrin's "time away," but she is certainly the most persistant. Luckily Mirrin has discovered he can easily distract the clan's historian with other stories from the founding of Wayfarer's Rest.

N O T E S :Random progen that was exalted soon after joining the site. As time passed I regretted the decision, but thanks to the admin's choice grant progens back, he returned to my clan!

Out of the darkness comes a flickering light. Closer inspection reveals the source to be a cluster of lit candles, obviously enchanted by the fact they were floating (and not dripping was everywhere which might actually be the more impressive trick).

Not long after, they reveal a figure walking among them, dressed in gauzy, flowing robes and gracefully making it's way up to the nearest lair and clearly trying to make an impressive entrance to any local dragons who might be watching.

However all sense of grace was lost the moment the tundra (it was difficult to entirely hide all that fluff under a costume) inhaled deeply and gave a mighty bellow of "TRICK OR TREAT!"

Grinning widely he got ready to meet whoever it was his yell summoned, showing off those impressive tundra canines (though his body language made it clear it wasn't meant to be threatening).
