The Shadow Ambassador
Representative for Shadow interests, needs, beliefs and individuals within the clan.

Nirvana sits on the Elemental Council as the chosen Ambassador for the Shadow Flight within Clan Avarice. As well as being the foremost expert on Shadow lore, beliefs, needs, and morals, Nirvana represents the interests of all Shadow-oriented dragons within the clan. The Elemental Council are 5th tier dragons in the hierarchy, although as Ambassadors and experts in their specific elements they command more respect than the average fifth tier dragon. The Elemental Council is advised by an Elemental Leader, who themselves sit under the guidance and control of The Diplomat, Azrael.

Nirvana followed Azrael as a gift from the Avarice Clan's closest allies, Black Ice. Unlike Azrael, however, he feels deeply connected with the Tangled Woods and to this day continues to worship the Shadowbinder first and foremost. Born in the Driftwood Drag, Nirvana remains comfortable in any of the Shadow regions and is a regular visitor to the territories, where he visits dragons he knew from his time there and pays homage to his dark Goddess. He was only a hatchling when he first left the Tangled Woods but he has spent time and effort to become as connected with his birthplace as he is. If one wishes to visit the Shadow territory they could do worse than Nirvana as a guide. When he slips back beneath the shade he fits in effortlessly, a dancing jester with bright, swirling purple eyes.

However, Nirvana is a relaxed, easy-going dragon who does not struggle with spending the majority of his life in a lighter land. Some Shadow dragons can be cruel in their mischief but, although he is fond of tricks and games, there is not an unkind bone in this Coatl's body. Perhaps as a reflection of this he took a Light-oriented mate called Paradise shortly after his integration into the Avarice Clan. They have been closely bonded ever since. Paradise is a serious, introverted dragon who benefits from her mate's easy confidence and flair for fun.

Nirvana takes his role as the Shadow Ambassador seriously, and makes regular pilgrimages to the Tangled Woods to keep abreast of the region and politics there. He is popular both amongst the clans Shadow-aligned dragons and in general. Having originated from the same clan as Azrael he is a close companion of the Diplomat, and a regular confidant.
