Biography
From roselapis' clan, Pendulum Omen is a Seer of The End. She receives visions predicting the future and relays them to others - at a price. Her role is often reduced to a basic Oracle in order to avoid slipping important details to foreign clans and possible spies. In exchange for telling another dragon their future, Omen will also tell them their untimely gruesome end. This gristly fate is the payment for engaging secrets of the future while being one of the present. Following the death of her companion, Riptide, Omen has become louder and more adamant about telling dragons their ultimely fates. She wants to be listened to. She wants to be heard. |
History
She used to be in a fighter's team with Smiles and Cookie. After the breach at temperance, Omen changed and insisted on only being a seer. She refuses, however, to accept any students. Pyrite continued to beg Omen to teach her the ways of being a seer but Omen refused time and time again. She ended up travelling far away to the Ashfall Wastes, and came across the Academy. Some dragons were interested in her seer abilities, and a few actually wanted to know their fates. Omen is, at times, violent and lashes out to those around her. This can be a problem if guards are not present, as Omen is a trained fighter and more than capable of taking down a few dragons. |
"How badly do you want to know your demise?"
Children
Omen and http://flightrising.com/main.php?dragon=28520861 had a brief fling, which resulted in 5 hatchlings. Upon peering into the future of her hatchlings as soon as the eggs she'd carefully tended to hatched, Omen was struck with grief at the fates that her own blood was to receive. Each of them would be met either with death, or a fate worse than death. Knowing there was nothing she could do about it, Omen chose to focus on Griffith, the only one who would survive long enough for his fate to be mitigated. She usually never tried to actively change the fates of others, but by giving up 4 of her 5 children, she hoped to at least make a difference in the innocent baby's life.
~*~
Drogon - One of her daughters met her fate in the Ghostlight Ruins. Together with Cousat and Inachus, they faced foe after foe, until finally they came across a Disoriented Spirit. The warriors did all they could to defeat the thing, but it's power overwhelmed them and one by one they fell, until only Drogon was left. She prepared to attack, but the spirit rasped out an offer: "Stayyy your clawww, young onnne," it said, extending it's rotted hand toward the terrified maroon Nocturne, "Join meeeeee, and you'll have alllll the powerrrrrrrr you could everrrr waaaannnnt." It was so close to being defeated, but even so Drogon knew she hadn't the skills to defeat it. The mystic powers of her mother must have surfaced, because the defeated warriors couldn't do anything to stop the young dragon from walking forward and taking it's hand. They both disappeared in a puff of sickly-smelling smoke, and the young one was never seen or heard from again. To this day, Omen believes her daughter dead, as her future is encased in nothing but blackness and smoke. |
