Born as a Skydancer, Knell came to this clan seeking something new. He looked into Baldwin's direction. He worked every day to master the craft of alchemy. Some night in October, he began brewing something special. He worked through the night into the next morning, not stopping for anything. As he was about to add the final ingredient to his brew, Baldwin burst in and knocked a bottle from the shelf near the doorway. Into the cauldron it fell, causing Knell to leap towards the pot. He grasped the edge just as the bottle sank in, tipping the black bowl towards himself. Green ooze and steam filled the room, Knell screamed in pain. He blacked out.
He woke the next morning in another room, bandages covered his body. He stumbled about, looking for something to hold onto in the dark. His hands found a wall, which he followed to a door. Leaving the room, he crossed a larger den into the main entryway of the lair. No one was around. Knell's gaze fell to the icy reflection that shimmered in the candlelight. Gasping, he frantically searched for a mirror. To his amazement, a Mirror looked back at him. He had become a Mirror dragon!
Months after, Knell realized his radioactive powers. Brewing became much easier and his intelligence grew. Soon, Knell even seemed to surpass Baldwin himself.
