"I can show you things you've never seen before."
Nekuia was the younger daughter of her mother's first clutch. She followed in her mother's footsteps quietly, as her brash older sister dashed around the feet of their father. Nekuia loved to tend the garden with her mother. She carried a little yellow watering can in her mouth, and carefully watered the flowers her mother allowed her to. When her mother was occupied with infusing certain flowers with strong magic, Nekuia would wander off to the familiar pen. She would let herself in quietly and softly close the gate, so as not to disturb the creatures or her mother. Here she would stay and play with the familiars, until she got tired and fell asleep in the pen. Her mother would come find her after her work was done, and find little Nekuia curled up, with the soft animals nestling up against her, enjoying the small guardian's warmth. Then her mother would pick her up and take her home, to sleep and start the day all over again.
