"Soup! Fire! Spice! These are all very good things. Have you met the humble potato? A simple tuber, bland and starchy, but boy can you do a lot of things to it! Pretty good just stuffed into a fire honestly. But why take the easy route when there's experiments to be had?! I once heard of a rock soup actually."
Y6TGJFY.png

“Potatoes? You mean those weird rocks that grow plants out of them after some time?” The Ghostie thinks “We mainly use them for bartering with the nearby Creatures in the region. But sometimes… they have legs! There’s a Creature called a Potatoe, and you don’t know if it’s a Creature until after you almost stub your toe on it!” The Ghostie shakes their head, “But I’ve never heard of rock soup though - rock salad for sure! Or rock bread! But not soup?” Their eyes go wide.

They turn to the hatchlings and laugh, “We have rock pudding that when left out, kinda goes liquidy. Anything rock food is typically messy! Haha! We also eat molten rock - something I lav-“ the Ghostie pauses, rethinking their pun, “We have special magic that prevents things from going ablaze if there’s a spill or something.”

"Rock pudding... " she smacks her lips thoughtfully. "And molten rock wow! I do not think I'll be trying that one, might be hard to digest, but it does sounds fascinating. What about crystals? Eat those? I got some really weird salt once, all kinds of colours. Salt is a crystal. Water soluble! What do these Creatures trade to you for the taters?"
