Biography

NightStalker Leviathan
| Lv 25 |

Leviathan Class species are large creatures at the very top of their respective food chain. Similar in size to the Reaper Leviathan, The Nightstalker is a mysterious, stealthy, and lethal attacker.

Although this species is partially blind, they can "see" by sensing vibrations in the water and using echolocation to pinpoint the position of enemies and prey. If you can hear the high pitched rumbling sound they emit, the Nightstalker can see you.

They spend most of their time in deep waters, using the darkness of the water as camouflage allowing for excellent ambush abilities. This species sports impressive bio-luminescent antennae and fins that help draw prey towards them. They can turn this glow on and off at will. It's been observed that these leviathans will turn off their glow, and then reignite it to its maximum level in order to stun and disorientate their prey.

While this species of leviathan is mainly a deep ocean dweller, they will occasionally venture into mid level waters for mating or if food becomes scarce deeper below. In regards to mating, the breeding process of this species is a particularly strange one. The Nightstalkers are a female dominated species, and males are rare, if they are born at all. These females will swim into higher waters and mate with another leviathan species known as the Striker Leviathan. It's unknown as too how these two species are able to reproduce with each other, but its suspected that they share a common ancestor so their genome is close enough genetically that reproduction is possible.

Assessment: High Threat. Best to avoid
