Energetic || Adventurer || Beaming || Playful Rihla grew up in the Sea of a Thousand Currents, in the dark waters miles below the surface. Here, among glowing sea creatures and the gleaming prophecies, life ebbed and flowed like the water all around. Life was not about the here and now, but about the steps to take to the future. And Rihla just did not understand any of it. She was a loner in her birth Flight and, for want of something new and exciting, she tended to swim out in the deep on her own, lost in her thoughts. There was danger out here, but she felt safe nonetheless. Perhaps too safe ... A riptide caught her unaware, and flung her across the ocean - too far to safely swim back to her Clan. She was not one to believe in miracles, but she did take this as a sign. It was time for her to stop worrying about her Clan and their oracles for the future - it was time to focus on her present. east of the Sea, for the first time in her life tasting the air and seeing the clear skies above her. Her journey had begun. She soon came across a traveling Wind Clan, the Clan Kasırga. They took her in as one of their own, where she fit in like a missing puzzle piece. Her habits from the Sea did not wear off easily, however, and she often finds herself branching from her companions to explore on her own. She enjoys the bliss she finds here. With a seemingly boundless energy, she is always on the move. It was on one of these solitary journeys when she came across a white Pearlcatcher, exploring alone. A pleasant introduction and a shared meal later, the Pearlcatcher - Safar - had joined Rihla's life, and soon, they would be mates. Although they enjoy traveling together, both are understanding of the desire to continuously be on the move. There are times where both Safar and Rihla are drawn to opposite corners of Sorneith - and they always part with their promise to reunite at their Clan's base in the Windsinger's land. "Good-bye for now," Safar whispers quietly in Rihla's ear before they depart. Unlike her mate, Rihla is not a good story-teller. Although she has many great tales to share, she is often too energetic to sit still and tell a tale properly. Oftentimes, she'll be half-way through a story, and then be distracted - by a new adventure, a visiting dragon, sometimes even by another story. Her tangents are just as entertaining, though, and her good nature and genuine happiness make up for the fact. And if Rihla ever visits her birth Clan again, they will tell her - "We have always known your future to be a bright one.' |
