Biography

Carricon
Gods of Storytelling

True Familiar
Storm Seeker
Plot the Storm Seeker
Carricon is a shapeshifter from a world far different from Sornieth. Though in this place they have taken on the shape of a female nocturne dragon, in reality they are the genderless, formless god. Believed to exist as a multitude and a singularity all at once, Carricon is referred to by worshippers with the gender neutral pronouns "they" and "them" and generally called "gods" in plural rather than "god."

Carricon is, above all, a deity of storytelling. They thrive on the elements that make for an entertaining narrative, the good at the bad. The powers of love, friendship, and especially kin ties are highly important to Carricon and their followers. But by the same token, so are pain, suffering, and bloodshed. Carricon demands regular blood sacrifices from their followers, and if not appeased will retaliate by lashing out and claiming lives at random. They seem to thrive on conflict and change, because what else makes a good story? Stringing along the helpless, hapless children of their faith, Carricon laughs as they watch the puppets dance, knowing just when both joy and sorrow will strike and applying both indiscriminately. All in the name of the narrative.

No one is entirely sure why the gods came to Sornieth, though knowing them it is probably to search for more story potential. More joy and sorrow. More love and heartbreak. More suffering, death, pain, and hardship. More hope, perseverance, and triumph.

So turn the page, little ones. Entertain the all-mighty Carricon.
