Personality
Melissa is seen as a little bit eccentric, though none deny she's kind and helpful. It's rare not to see her with paint splattered across her flanks or flecks of clay hardened to her wings, and she always carries around a paintbrush, paint, and paper in case inspiration strikes while out and about.
She's always going on about the little things she sees; from small insects with the sun glinting off their carapaces, to the petals of a flower detaching and lightly floating to the ground. She has an incredible eye for detail, yet when she starts going on about tiny, insubstantial things nobody cares to notice (which is very often) they can't help but see her as eccentric and odd. She doesn't let it bother her, though, and cheerfully tells concerned friends "my inner skin is as tough as my outer!" when asked how it makes her feel.
She's a very talented painter, though she only works in fits of inspiration. This results in a lot of unfinished work laying around that she has no motivation to complete, especially as she gets drawn to the next thing. Lately she's been trying her hand at pottery, using her wings to shape the clay. It's a little messy and her work is sloppy, but she's proud nonetheless and continues to work hard to improve. 		tumblr_o5lx7cVoqC1qjurupo3_r1_400.png

History
Though Melissa was sad to leave her family, she didn't have a huge amount of time to bond with them before leaving. Meavis was taken off to another Plague Clan before her so the sisters had already said goodbye, and though is was tough to say goodbye to her mother and father, she was able to leave with no regrets. Her journey took her far, and she saw many fantastical things on the way, sparking her inner creativity and causing the urge to make what she saw on paper.
She surely annoyed the living daylights out of her escort, babbling about how the creek water glittered and sparkled, or how that cloud over there was shaped like a Zeeba - and her mother had a Zeeba who let her cuddle and play with it, Zeebas are nice! It was a frazzled dragon that brought her to her adoptive Clan, handing her off unceremoniously before going off to rest in silence away from the talkative, excited Snapper.

Trivia
  • Her first attempt at painting ended up with a whole bucket of paint strewn across the lair
  • After that, she was given gentle hints to try something else (which she ignored)
  • She always makes gift art for new dragons she meets
  • She often tries to make friends by pointing out funny things she's noticed about the other
  • Most of the time these are things the other dragon does not find funny, thank you very much

    Despite her bulk, Melissa is an amazing dancer. Many dragons in the clan mistakenly believe that her artistic talents lay purely in painting, but she is just as remarkable on the dance floor. Sure, her style is a bit...unique, but that doesn't stop it from being strangely mesmerizing. She can just as easily dance by herself as with a partner, or even a group. Her fearlessness makes others seem tame by comparison, and encourage them to step out of their comfort zone.
