NINJA is a hard-working brute, all right; his pink eyes are all he needs to maintain his MANLY MANGENTA status within the MAN-CAVE. Crushing critters between his thunderous thighs, the Imperial holds the dubious claim of being the only Imperial to survive the reign of the Imperial-eater, Mary Sue.

NINJA has no children, which is unusual for a dragon of this clan - especially one so old and venerable. He dislikes hatchlings, which usually puts him at odds with Lemrun, the self-proclaimed protector of all things tiny and crying. That particular dragon NINJA finds to be the pinnacle of all annoyance; a snivelling spectre who goes between neurotic levels of safety procedures and damning levels of sarcasm.

The only dragon that dares speak to NINJA is a ghost. Sion, the bear-trainer, will discuss the meaning of life with the brute from time to time; NINJA will grunt and bear it. Sometimes it is mildly entertaining.

NINJA almost has the answers, so long he has been contemplating the sorry mess. Eora's map was a major help, of course - the broken rail says it all. How sad to think that by ordering the wrong, inferior rail, Sion might accidentally cause the deaths of two. Just terrible. It's no wonder he couldn't live with that.

What he doesn't yet understand is who pushed who through the inferior product. The ghosts seem to have rather patchy memories; it doesn't seem anyone was at the scene who has a fully functioning brain.

Not to mention - if a ghost's new birthday is the date of their old death, then those two couldn't have died on the same day. Hell, was anyone pushed at all?

NINJA ponders these questions, but he finds no answers. They must be elsewhere.
