Bogfoot found an abandoned nest while looking for paint pigments, and carried this little boy home. She raised him as her own.

Mothball cares for his grandmother, mixing her medicines and cooking for two.

Bogfoot has been teaching Mothball her techniques of painting and pottery since he could hold a paintbrush. He loves painting with his grandmother, mixing clay and paint, and critiquing their work.

Bogfoot doesn't hold on to material things, but Mothball is the opposite. Once he started exploring and collecting things, Bogfoot's lair has been cluttered with random stuff. Mothball finds beauty in most things.

Though Bogfoot doesn't want to meet strangers herself, she is happy that Mothball often ventures to the carnival with their friend Dorothy to makes friends. She enjoys his stories when they paint.
