He takes to the sword with a horrifying eagerness.

But he does not take to killing as easily. With every kill comes a realisation that one less dragon treads the earth. All dragons have mates, children, family. Taking them away from their loved ones is crueler than it seems. He may have picked up the blade with excitement before, but it doesn’t take much time to realise that he does not actually want to cause harm.

What good is an assassin who will not kill?

Knowing how to defend yourself is always important, though. Aftermaths may be scavengers and pack dragons, but it is only in his nature. He will not bring death to those who do not deserve it, even if it comes with the promise of treasure. There is no shame in walking away from a kill like this. Survival always seems to push itself to the front sometimes, however. He can’t help but hurt dragons he comes across. Some dragons are more beast than anything, and he cannot resist the voice in his head screeching that he is one of them.
