Biography

AKASHA
|| Boreal Brawler || Assassin/Informant ||
"Sure, you can think that. I mean, you're wrong, but if thinking that makes you feel better, go for it."

___ From the moment Akasha was hatched, she was a fighter. She tousled with her clutchmates and stalked grasshoppers at the edge of the Brambles that edged the lair, and once she was old enough, her father took her under his wing, leading her into the wilds of Sornieth. Under his strict tutelage, she learned swiftly; but she chafed under the rigorous training regimen and the various rules of the lair. After one particularly heated argument with her father, she left home only half-trained, swearing she would never return.

___ Beyond the comforting gloom of the Shadowbinder's domain, Akasha quickly learned that 'half trained' meant 'not trained enough', as she immediately came up against a bloodthirsty clan who did not much care for the shadowling invading their territory. In fleeing from their scouts, she found herself rescued by an older Imperial, who clucked his tongue disapprovingly at her inadequate education and insisted on finishing her training himself. Under his instruction, Akasha learned that not all (or even most) dragons can be considered trustworthy, and she spent many hours listening to the war stories of the experienced male. When he declared she'd learned all she could from him, they parted ways.

___ Despite her training, the wilds of Sornieth were still not at all kind to the young Imperial, and when Attis found her, she was wounded and half-starved, just beyond the outer reaches of the territory that the clan marked as their own. Once she'd been nursed back to health, she was (theoretically) given the option of leaving...but she chose to stay, and has now made herself at home among the other members of the lair.

___ Akasha's time on her own did nothing to dull her desire for fighting, and she'd just as soon challenge someone as look at them. At this point, fighting isn't necessarily seen as a negative thing, not to Akasha - she knows that there's a lot to be learned from a dragon in their fighting style, and in fact she's much more likely to befriend someone after they've gone a few rounds dodging her claws and delivering blows of their own. Once her friendship is earned, she's a friend for life; that is, of course, if her new friend can tolerate occasionally getting into wrestling matches on the grounds that 'there's nothing better to do right now'.

___ Though she'll never admit it, part of the reason she's so scrappy is because she doesn't know how else to approach others. Many of the social skills that come so naturally to others is a struggle for Akasha. This doesn't seem to bother her in the least, regardless of how others perceive her - she's not about to change just to make other dragons happy. Legacy knows who she is and she's very sure of herself, exuding an air of confidence that many find themselves envious of.

___ While Akasha might be a little rough around the edges, she's at least friendly, and will offer to train anyone who comes through the lair. However, her particular brand of sarcasm tends to come off as a bit brash, and she's probably offended just as many dragons as she's befriended. Her friends are often left shrugging and explaining that she doesn't mean any harm by it - as for Akasha herself, she doesn't seem to really care who does or doesn't like her. She knows where she belongs and who she can trust, and that's enough for her.
