Quiet | Warmhearted | Gentle
Mate of Negloshii

"We all have those dark days, but just a little sunshine and color can do wonders to brighten them."

The dappled blue Fae couldn't remember where she haled from. "Water territory," other dragons would say, "you have Water eyes." Okay, but where was that? The child flew as far as she could, but her delicate wings and tiny form made little progress for the effort it took. The further she flew, the drier the air got, but she refused to stop. Something drew her forward, let it be loneliness, fear, or some sort of charge, she did not know. Eventually, her wings gave out, and the hatchling fell to the ground in a pathetic heap.

When she blinked open her eyes she could hear rustling in the scrubby plant life. She tried to get to her paws, but her filthy, aching body refused to move as a much larger Fae approached her. The adult dragon stared at the lost, filthy, and frightened bab as though weighing his choices, but his soft yellow eyes were not unkind. Trying to speak, the tiny Fae found her voice lost in a sea of coughs as the dry dust of the dust entered her lungs. The male's expression changed to nothing but pity, and he spoke to her softly, "Come on now, let's get you cleaned up. I know where a water hole is."

Cradling her gently in his arms the cloaked Fae flew her to said spot, which was surprising close. How had she missed it, she wondered, was she really that delirious yesterday? Suddenly, she realized how tired she was. Her head hurt, stomach was empty, and thirst was over powering. Sleep sounded unbelievably wonderful, but the cold splashes of water refused to let that nagging feeling ovetake her. "You sure look like you took a beating." The male said passively as he examined the dings and bruises upon her scales. "How far did you fly?" 'Too far. She thought, but she was too tired, too exhausted to even speak aloud. As her scales sparkled with cleanliness the lass finally let sleep succumb her.

Negloshii stared at the sleeping bab with worried eyes. The poor thing was ragged, clearly having come farther than a hatchling was meant to fly. He looked around but saw no signs of a struggle or pursuers; she had done it to herself. What a determined little lass. Not that he would have turned her away to begin with, the Fae found himself at a standstill. The clan was horrifically full right now, with many members sleeping on bare ground instead of proper bedding. Their clan leader was on thin ice with newcomers as it was, there was no way he would gain approval for this hatchling.

Regardless, Negloshii would leave her to the scrubland predators, hatchling snatchers, or elements. Cradling her gently in his arms the older Fae carried her all the way to camp and, careful not to be seen, settled her gently within his own chambers. She had remained asleep throughout the flight and only when she was in the safe place did he realize how scrawny the little scrap was. Heading out to their larder he gather up a heaping pile of insects for her to sample, but as he headed out the overwhelming sense of being watched tingled in his fins.

"Gosh Negs, didn't you just eat?" The larder-watch scoffed, but Negloshii ignored the jibe. "Small dragons need to eat often." He reminded the Mirror. "And we are so overstocked on bugs its attracting live ones." The watch just snorted and rolled over, clearly not wanting to deal with him. Scuttling back to his room Negloshii was surprised to find his new charge was awake, though just barely, and her blue eyes were locked on the pot of bugs he had brought back.

"You must be starving." The older dragon said, but the small Fae was still trying to recall where she was. The allure of food was not helping her fuzzy thoughts, or the gnawing emptiness in her belly. She nodded vigorously, her legs quivering beneath her as she tried to stand on the nest's soft surface. "There's plenty to choose from, so find what you like." He set down the jar close enough for her to reach into it, but the female hesitated. She had never been offered such an abundance of food, let alone be allowed to take what she wanted. Reaching forward gingerly her small claws grabbed at a shiny beetle on top, but as she dragged it toward herself the sound of steps outside made her freeze.

A loud hiss sounded through the doorway as a pair of Mirrors entered, behind them a Pearlcatcher, another Mirror, and possibly a Tundra, but it was honestly hard to see past the first pair. "Neg-lo-shiiiiii," The first mirror spat, separating out the syllables as her tail tip twitched. "Explain yourself."
"I found her on my last outing. This child would have perished if I did not take her back. She will be my charge, and stay in my room, so we won't have to make extra space." He spoke quickly, but firmly, leaving the sentences void of emotion. The child, while frightened, was still overwhelmed by hunger, and tossed the beetle into her mouth. The crunch was so loud the room went silent for a moment. All eyes flew past Negloshii and to her. The Fae's blue eyes locked with the scary Mirror's, and behind her cyan gaze she saw a crazed creature who was not afraid to shred a child. Fear gripped her heart, the beetle practically choking her as she swallowed in fear. This dragon was not afraid to kill.

"There is no space." She hissed, teeth flashing visibly with each word. But Negloshii stood tall before his leader, his tail wrapping around the child in a comforting manor. "If it appeases you, I will take her as my mate when she reaches adulthood. Crowding controlled, place found. She stays here." The Mirror gave a low ground, her feral stance extra eerie as her long claws scratched at the floor.

Finally, the Mirror's shoulder's relaxed, though only slightly, and she breathed airily, "If it is for the best," and left the den in one fluid turn. The rest of the dragons vanished as well, and instantly the tension receded. After a couple of heartbeats Negloshii let out a lout gasp and collapsed to the floor. "Thank the Lightweaver," he puffed before turning his long neck toward the small child. "I'm sorry, it's all I could think of. By all means, you don't have to abide by that." The child didn't know what to think. A rush of emotions had just assaulted her fragile body, but before she could process them or even respond another dragon came bundling into the room.

"Neggy! Neggy, I'm sorr-r-r-r-y---!" It was another female, a Coatl, and her bouncing steps broke up her voice as she waddled too far and had to turn back to the den at full sprint. "Im sorry but.. but Volt.. AH!," she paused, gasping from air from too the sprint. "Volt needs me to... record her name!"
The adult looked at her, but the child could only stare back blankly. I don't have one.. If she did, she didn't remember it or anyone who did. Her gaze must have been telling, for Negloshii said ever so gently, "Taleekii. Her name is Taleekii."

- A very quiet dragon. Even as a hatchling she never really talked much and many thought her to be mute.
- That being said shes not much of a conversationalist. She talks, and is almost always cheerful, but her whimsical words are usually only a response when directly spoken to.
- Though she can't remember what happened to her before being found by Negloshii Takleekii still shakes from those repressed memories. She fears it was violent, like her home was massacred, and is very somber beneath her bubbly outwardness.
- Dresses brightly and usually uses many colors in her works
