Once she was a small fae, but something inside of her told her she had to change, she had to be bigger. It took her a long time to master her craft again after losing the small claws that had been so useful in her work. But with time and dedication she mastered it and is a renowned clock maker and repairer. A part of her believes that her charge is the passage of time or at least the sense of it, and she manifests it by making clocks to allow dragons to see the passage of time better. However she doesn't feel as strong a pull for her charge since she was a fae before. Her mate Helios is quite supportive of her craft and will often offer pieces of embellishments to add to her works.

ETYMOLOGY - Means "apportioner" in Greek. She was one of the three Fates or Μοιραι (Moirai) in Greek mythology. She was responsible for deciding how long each person had to live. *the visitor found the clock maker busy at work, she didn't notice their approach until she finally looked up. Her claws were at work on the intricate workings of a half made clock on the dark oak. Metallic flourishes embellished the wooden box that housed the mechanism and glinted in the lamplight of the room. She looks visibly surprised and makes a small exclamation.* Oh! I-I... Hello! *She recovered her composure and smiled.* My name is Lachesis, it is nice to meet you. *with a small motion she gestures to the the cogs and gears on her worktable* I am a clock maker. *she giggles* I suppose you probably guessed that from the clock I'm working on. I also keep all the clocks in the castle in tip top shape. You could say that my charge is making sure that time moves along smoothly, *she spins a tool between her claws as she laughs* Of course making time move forward is impossible but I like to think that if the clocks work correctly then everyone can keep schedules in order and patterns won't get interrupted because of a clock being a few mintues a head or behind. *she glances over at a nearby clock* And speaking of which, *with a sigh she gets up from her desk* I have an appointment with a large clock in the main keep. Sorry to run but I should be off. *the visitor waves goodbye as Lachesis grabs her toolbox and leaves the room with a hum.*
