Biography

The day I got scattered (Jun 12th 2018) is the day my owner got a shiny rattata via random encounter. Marking the first one she ever got that way. that she knows of and remembers.
CONTAGION
From the outskirts of the Wasteland, a new Contagion was born.

The first thing she felt was the heat, followed by a searing pain. The moment her skin first became exposed to the putrid air it began to writhe and contract, almost as if rejecting the environment she found herself in. Her eyes darted wildly, trying to take in her surroundings. She was alone and unbeknownst to her, she would remain that way for some time.

There was no way she could have known that she was a product of the land, born of the remnant energy of the Plaguebringer that pulsed through the terrain. The blood that seeped at the surface of her skin, leaving her perpetually blood stained, was the byproduct of the contagion that pulsed through her veins. Minuscule, open sores riddled her body, simultaneously invigorating and maddening her. A concentrated power festered within her. She was the Scarred Wasteland. She was the Plague.

As her body grew, so did her power. She learned to harness her abilities and inflict disease upon her victims with a single touch. Hunting for food became training for her. She could easily snap her jaws and kill her prey with one swift motion, but she preferred to learn from her kills. She would track her target throughout the day, learning to conceal herself. She would study its movements and calculate the perfect time to attack. When her victim's guard was down, she would strike.

She had no purpose other than training, and quickly became bored. That's when she began to explore the Wastelands. She traveled for many days by foot. Where other dragons would have flown to avoid the harshness of the land, she welcomed it. She seemed to gain her strength from the acrid domain and she relished the slight sting of the ground touching her flesh. There was no point to her trek, other than giving her something to do. It was completely unexpected when she stumbled upon a clan of dragons.

The clan was small, but it's matriarch was massive. Upon seeing the rogue female, the matriarch made it known that she was the dominant. She gave the wandering dragon no chance to explain herself, no time to even register that this was the first time she had ever seen another dragon. The matriarch immediately charged. The rogue twisted agilely out of the way just in time, but when she turned to face her opponent the matriarch had already gained momentum and slammed her staggering frame into her rival's side. The young dragon lay stunned on the ground. The attack had come so suddenly that she hadn't had time to think. She could see the matriarch's menacing jaws hovering just above her throat. The matriarch was also plague born, and she was so close that the stench of her rotting flesh instantly filled the smaller dragon's nostrils. As soon as she was able to register the danger she was in by lying helplessly beneath the giant dragon, the matriarch's jaws came crashing down to rip her throat. She snapped out of her shock and twisted just out of reach. Instead of striking flesh, the matriarch's jaws sounded a sickening crack on the rocky ground. Seizing her moment of opportunity, the smaller dragon slashed at the matriarch's front legs, bringing her to her knees. A flurry of quick, calculated strikes and as soon as the fight had begun, it ended. The matriarch lay lifeless in front of her opponent.

Though she had never interacted with another dragon before, she suddenly found herself the new leader of her own clan. The dragons that had witnessed the battle instantly accepted their new matriarch. No one questioned her authority or her ability to lead. She never spoke a word, but was followed nonetheless.

Conquering clans became her mission. She traveled the wastelands with her followers and whenever they came upon a new clan, she would fight. Her skin was soon covered in battle scars. Her clan grew as time passed. Her followers respected and feared her. Her reputation preceded her and she no longer had to fight to gain followers, her followers were now coming to her. Young dragons would leave their clans to set out on a search for the infamous nomadic clan of the Plaguebringer's realm.

Just as she had grown bored hunting as a hatchling, she grew weary of her life as a conqueror. One night, as her followers slept with various dragons posted at the perimeter of the clan, keeping watch, she disappeared. She slipped silently into the night without a second glance back at her clan. She had no attachment to them, no desire to stay. It was time for her to move on. It was time for her to leave her clan of the Wastelands to start a life of her own.
