Hatchling
Mandie is the smaller of twins born on 1st April she suffers poor eyesight, her father’s skittish nature and lacking much self confidence. The twins were inseparable for the first few days after being hatched, staying close to their mother mostly.▬▬▬▬▬▬ Proving to be the more easily scared of the two Mandie hid behind her sister a lot as they grew in the lair. It was apparent that she took after her father far more than her sister did. Not that it mattered to Boreas as he didn’t talk to his children if he could help it, although his friends tried to take his place for the two girls. Mandie wanted nothing to do with fighting and would rather read then interact with other dragons. When the two reached maturity they were put in for self defence training like all young dragons of the clan are. Mandie excelled at magic and showed real promise for casting spells. Summer however showed signs of wanting to leave. |

Watching her sister leave made Mandie question her usefulness to the clan. Her father still refused to interact with her more than was needed; he did however leave her some glasses and a book. So Mandie tried to fit in on her own.▬▬▬▬▬▬ Missing her sister greatly and knowing that her mother had other things to do Mandie through herself into her studies. Remy and Gimli tried to talk to her but were mostly ignored as Mandie trained more and more. Depressed and mostly alone Mandie hardly spoke to anyone slowly sinking in to the background. It was feared at one point she may choose to leave for and join the Arcanist further into the Observatory. That was until the clan’s resident ghost fae Napstablook started talking to her about her books. Mandie couldn’t very well leave the little fae with no one so she started talking to others again, surprisingly finding a friend in the clans trainer Ares. When Mandie was asked by the leaders to have a nest with another oddly dated dragon she agreed. The father didn’t really bother much with her after they hatched instead showing more interest in her mother. Mandie didn’t care she had three beautiful hatchlings to care for and she loved them dearly. She wasn’t without assistance in raising them either as Gimli and Remy where never far away. Two left early on but Mandie clung on to her son Nico for as long as she could until one day while accompanying Ares to the southern ice fields she noticed how at home Nico seemed there. It was with a heavy heart she let him stay there but she knows he’s well and loved there. |
