"The skies have room for all, both dragon and beast. Only a fool would think otherwise. And what a fool I was."
In the depths of the Twisting Crescendo, and on the floating kites of the Cloudsong, Naumnani - born to the name Leah - lived a peaceful life within a lair that preached peace and coexistence between dragon and beastclan. And yet when a storm came that swept young "Leah" halfway across Sornieth, the last thing she saw of her home were Harpies and Talonok hidden in the clouds.
Betrayers. for the longest time that was the only thought she could hold in her mind regarding the beastclans. Taking on a new name while nursing her injured wings in the Tangled Wood, Naumanni did nothing except stew in her bitterness and plan her journey home. Her only partner was a resentment she expressed in tooth and claw, no matter how many enemies it made her.
When the time finally came to return home, Naumanni expected to return to shredded kites and beastclan scavengers. What she found were windchimes intertwined with the Beastclan symbol, and her clan leader in gentle discussion with Talonok representatives. The saviours that had come to rescue their clan on that fateful day.
Naumanni left left before her old clanmates had a chance to realize her true identity, disgusted by her own willingness to throw away her clan's principles on a whim, over a betrayal that never even happened. She returned to the Tangled Wood with her tail between her legs, and worked to piece together some form of identity for herself among the shadows and pine trees. An identity that began to coalesce when she was offered an invitation to an obscure Shadow Flight clan by a Fae dragon with clever eyes. And on occasion, Naumanni can be seen looking towards the sky, not with joy, but with guilt.
