Biography
Void - The Enslaved
Move along. There is nothing to see here. Though they have shook some, his chains have yet to be broken, and his soul has yet to be recovered, so our friend shall sleep for a little longer...
VOID of the SLAVES
HISTORY Void came from one of the rare families of Voidkeepers (at least, that is what they called themselves). His lineage had the power to open portals to the void for short periods of time. Because of this power, they were feared, which was an advantage that they became drunk on. Their reign of terror in the Tangled Woods lasted for many years before Void, who was in line to become the next leader, decided that he could not take over the family. When they became angry, he fled. He ran into Aima shortly afterwards and saved her from some of the Shadow beasts that resided in the woods. He became fascinated with her and he asked if he could go with her, as he had no home to return to. She agreed and they became inseperable. After a while, the family of Voidkeepers finally found Void and Aima and they were forced to flee. They traveled South to the Icefields where they finally found an open, free land where they didn't have to look around trees or skulk through the undergrowth. They joined a clan after a young Coatl saved them from a blizzard and Void, who still harbored some of the ambition of his family, became enamored by Ameth, the clan's magical genius. He was his biggest fan and constantly snuck into his cave to watch him work and even donned robes similar to him to show his devotion. However, Ameth was having none of it and shooed him away whenever he could. It wasn't until Ameth became corrupted that he had an interest in Void. He began to slowly allow the young dragon into his cave to see his work and, while he was there, carefully and slowly let bits of the Shade attach themselves to his soul. Void did not notice, but his behavior began to change. He was colder, more focused and his gentle, enthusiastic nature began to disappear. Finally, when he was one day watching Ameth do his craft, the bigger dragon shoved him against the wall, sunk his claws into his chest, and bit down on the top of his head. The Shade poured out of his body and invaded the wounds that he had made on Void's body. They crushed his soul to dust and devoured it, taking their place in his body as a new host. And that was the end of Void's spirit. After that moment, he was merely a tool that Ameth could use, his empty shell filled to the brim with the dark will of his master.

Patient Notes wrote:
The patient - Void - has been placed into a medically induced coma, and transferred to his bed within the long term ward. Shade-possessed do not require sustenance, sustained purely by the malevolent force. However, with the gradual removal of the Shade taint, the body will gradually resume natural functions. An IV drip will be installed when Void reaches that threshold. I shall perform a preliminary checkup shortly after this entry, and my observations will be noted in a separate entry.
Current prognosis is mixed - with whatever the cuts made by Wintermute did essentially forcing the Shade within to become inert, he may be completely free of the Shade in time. However, such was the extent of his possession, not a single spark of his soul nor mind remains - both higher cerebral and higher cortical functions are completely absent.
Curiously, the cuts made by Wintermute have scarred over.
The Shade within remains inert and strangely pliable, and I have encountered little resistance thus far while removing it. However, what is lacking in difficulty is more than made up for by the sheer quantity - Void must have been under complete, thorough possession for a very long time.
The scars he was left with are now slightly smaller - perhaps it is tied to the amount of Shade that remains within him?
Despite the considerable progress made, there still remains a large quantity of Shade running through him (though the scars have shrunk further). What is strange is that if his soul were completely lost, then he would've expired shortly without the Shade actively animating him, such was the extent of his possession.
And yet, he continues to cling on to life...
