Biography
Trinkets:
"Look to the skies, people! A god has arrived!... What? The Stormcatcher? No, I'm talking about myself!" - Roseus.
Okay, here's the thing: no one the clan has any clue why Roseus is here. He seems like he'd be far more at home in the Viridian Labyrinth, or even the Sundial Ruins, especially considering that the constant storms and strong winds stir up a lot of sand and dirty one's fur or scales quite quickly. However, that didn't seem to deter Roseus once he reached Clan Tellatale. He arrived with a visiting clan from the Labyrinth, took a long tour of the lair, and then in the end he didn't go back with his clan. He simply sat on Cupid's chaise lounge, fluffing his crest feathers and stating, "I quite like it here." At first, everyone was confused as to why the dragons he came with left so easily, but it didn't take much longer than an hour for them to understand. For starters, there's no way that his humongous ego should be able to fit in his feathers. It surpasses anything the clan has seen before- Hyde and Shu agree that Phi's ego can't compare, likewise all the dragons from Shibuya agree that Joshua's got real competition on his hands. Second, Roseus is something of a wandering poet. He generally moves from place to place, living in one clan for a little bit before deciding he's bored and uninspired by his surroundings, leaving to find another clan. According to Roseus, he's only ever lived in the Viridian Labyrinth. On hearing this, Dragoon asked what made him want to branch out and live in the Shifting Expanse. In answer, Roseus promptly smirked and winked very flirtatiously at Cupid ... Okay, so maybe it's not so big of a mystery why Roseus is here. It turns out, he's quite smitten by a great many of Clan Tellatale's men with no discernible pattern of a "type." His tastes in men range from Cupid and Aphrodite to Vector and Agony. Some are receptive to his flirts, shooting back semi-playful flirts of their own, and others absolutely do not like it. (Especially Agony, who grows noticeably flustered and disturbed by Roseus' courting.) Something even more confusing than his unpredictable tastes in men are his goofy, corny pick-up lines. Since he's very proud of his poetry, he'll flaunt it and read it out to anyone he can get to sit still, so the clan knows he's actually a rather decent poet. He'll write things like, "Nothing in this world fills your soul the way simple joys can, from the sunlight filtering through tree leaves to the flowers being tended to by the bees..." Then turn around and say to Vector, "My, my, you look pale! Could it be that you've been infected with my love poison?" To which, Vector promptly and justly whacks him over the head with his tail. Roseus is elegant, poetic, clever, fussy, vain, and full of himself. He enjoys writing, being clean, being waited on, people praising his writing, people telling him how pretty or great he is, and strong, handsome men. He dislikes sweating, being dirty, physical exertion, people insulting his writing, and people not seeing why he's so great. |
