”I'm stormy by name, stormy by nature."
Tempest is a bit of a whirlwind, to put it lightly. She likes to spend her days standing on cliff faces watching storms form out at sea. Most of her clanmates are terrified of her and those that don't fear her respect her enough to leave her alone. She's not dangerous-- just temperamental and very easily angered. She has the power of a thousand storms crackling through her veins. She knows she's meant to serve the Stormcatcher by carrying his philosophies to different Flights and plans to work hard so she can make him proud. She doesn't have many friends in the lair, save for heartless Eira since they're quite similar, and goofy Mangrove, who she has an odd argumentative dynamic with. Tempest won't interact with anyone who isn't a clan leader or a Flight Representative but she'll give her life to protect her "underlings." Hopefully Aithusa and Morpheus can teach her that true leadership isn't hanging loftily in the clouds. Instead, it involves making close ties with those you are trying to save.
“Calm down? You're asking me to calm down? I am the oncoming storm!" Life is fast-paced for this hurricane of a Ridgeback. She's training herself in combat because she doesn't trust anyone else to help her out. When she comes home covered in scrapes and bruises the other dragons assume she's just gotten into another fight. Although she puts up a brave front, Tempest isn't as tough as she pretends to be. She's secretly very insecure and is constantly trying to prove herself because she doesn't believe she's good enough for her position. She knows only the most dedicated dragons can become Flight Representatives and she constantly wonders why she was chosen. Morpheus is constantly reminding her of her excellence every time he patches up her wounds. Perhaps one day she'll actually listen to him. Until then, it's back to the grind, fighting tooth and nail to make her way to the top. Nobody has any doubt that she'll succeed, but at what cost?
