Frosty Eira matches several of the stereotypes associated with her flight. She's detached, rational, and level-headed, refusing to let her emotions govern her decisions. She's living with the Kuuwardens because of her "diplomatic mission to form stronger alliances with other flights." To translate, members of the Ice Flight sent Eira to live with Aithusa as a hatchling. The Spiral was ordered to learn how Arcane dragons function using idealism as their guiding star instead of simple, untainted logic. She confounded Mezu the caretaker when she was young, refusing to play with the other baby dragons. He befriended her through reading and storytelling instead. His tales were intellectual enough to be useful, and she could catalog them in her journal for her reports back to the Ice Flight. Eira doesn't miss her home. She has no attachment to it. She's comfortable and safe with the Kuuwardens. That's all she really needs.

This icy Spiral isn't as coldhearted as she likes to believe. Aithusa has caught her gazing at the thousand constellations visible from anywhere inside the Arcanist's domain. Eira wonders if there's more to life than gathering information and preserving her clan's legacy. She'd never discuss this out loud with anyone. They'd think her weak, which is something she can't afford to be if she wishes to properly serve the Icewarden.
