Born in the ruins of the Hewn City, Eurig began his life not as a tundra but as an imperial. His parents, while loving, instilled the knowledge that he was one of the few truly worthy of the imperial name. A child of the Lightweaver, they said calmly, was the best to be for she was the creator of their kind. Thus he grew up with a sense of rightousness and a small sense of being better than other species, especially the smaller cousins of Imperials, Pearlcatchers. Though his childhood was ideallic, Eurig knew that he would never quite belong to his parents clan. A small episode in his youth of a prophecy spilled forth, words that mumbled and stuttered because the young imperial's voice hadn't quite developed completely. It was with this episode that a rigerous training was set up for the young one, instilling a sense of discipline and the need to be eloquent.
Though he reached adulthood quickly, the young imperial was fool-hardy and demanding. This rambunctious behavior was enough to have others of his age dare him to venture forth and spend a night outside of the clan's lands. Determined to prove his nest-mates wrong, Eurig set forth to spend not just one night but an entire week within the City's most uninhabited areas alone. Though he tried his best, the young imperial had not counted on how vast the area truly was, and in time found himself wandering in circles. Distressed and uneasy, he tried in vain to find his home again though his paths always seemed to lead him round in circles leaving him on the outskirts of the deserted lands. In time, Eurig's circular wanderings lead him to where the Passus Canorous had begun to set up their home. Intrigued by this newcomer, Sargon made plans to snatch him up into his fold. His actions lead to an unforseen breed change however, as Sargon inadverantly lead Eurig past Eurwen as she returned from foraging for the troupe's supper. Intrigued, Eurig followed her around for a few days, always keeping his distance. In that time, he introduced himself to others of the clan, and eventually asked the clan's Potion Master. Manannan for a breed-change scroll so he could approach the recently widowed Eurwen without the size difference. Though the process was difficult, Eurig has adjusted to his new form despite Sargon's protests to his change. He's become a loyal member of the Pretender's Court, though his full potential as a oracle or prophet has yet to be discovered.
