PERSONALITY Gruff and grizzled, Feuer responded to the harsh demands of lower-class life in the Ashfall Waste by tempering himself, and has struggled to begin reaching out to others after his retirement. Though he is as trapped at the Resort as the majority of its permanent residents, he frequently finds himself not minding. He has food, he has water, he has a small forge, and it's generally quite calm and peaceful. He is rarely bothered, free to make small trinkets and clockwork toys as he pleases, and the younger denizens are happy to accept the gifts. HISTORY Feuer had worked as a smith for the majority of his life, literal decades, by the time the young dragons of the Ashfall Waste took up their arms and rebelled against the elite. It was a struggle he had seen before, when he was younger; one he had participated in, sometime long before the smoke had stained his wings black and a promise of productivity had influenced his employers to implant a forge in his very flesh. Seeing those youth rise up once more, with their eyes bright and angry, had sparked something long-lost in him. Though he did not participate in the conflict, the day the youth claimed the Magmablood Rebuke was the day he decided he'd finally had enough. He didn't so much as leave a notice. The forgemaster could figure out on his own where his top craftsman had gone. --- His travels took him all over Sornieth before he eventually settled in Ice. First to the Shifting Expanse, then up and around the Sea; through Light, Shadow, Plague, and Wind before his claws first touched the snow. He had thought he wouldn't care for the frigid environ, with its reputation for harsh weather and harsher rules, but in the end there was something magical about the place that nowhere else had matched. He chose to scale the Thundering Mountain for a challenge of sorts. Climbing a mountain was something he had never done before, but wasn't immensely dangerous: he was confident he could use his fire to fight through any challenges on the slope. Indeed, he wasn't worried in particular when he came upon the sign for the Stormview Resort, despite the blizzard raging around him; more tired, ready for a rest.
