Lore dump (this is extremely old and no longer necessarily true...but I'm keeping it here for now):
Well, Medusa was one of my newbie purchases. She is the Gatekeeper that meets you at the entrance to our Clan, which is in a big, hollow volcano. She's also the Gold Knight. She's one of my main fighters in my coli team too. She's quite serious and stern. If she has any suspicion you will be dangerous to her lord or lady (Gigginox and Viv) or the Clan as a whole she will watch you with no end. And she can do that, wherever you are. The magic scroll around her neck allows her to control statue sentries that for some reason were scattered all around the volcano. Only some can be activated though (again, no one knows why, except for me :P) and she can see through their eyes and command them with ease. They found the rune scroll in one of the twisting tunnels underneath the volcano, but it was tattered and torn. Foreshadow helped her restore it's magical properties.

[oh also, lore notes on the Forgotten Cave: there's a parasitic fungus that thrives in it, that can infect other living beings. After coming back from caves with that parasite, dragons must be quarantined and checked over by a medical professional before let back into the clan. There's also another fungus that grows there that counteracts the parasite, so as a precaution any dragon going to explore those caves should eat a certain amount of it before hand.]
